A journey that began long ago
65 years ago, on the outskirts of Padua, in a large room within a pharmaceutical plant, there was a man with a clear dream: to create something that had never been done before.
It was 1959 when Luigi Vecchia invented a granular stock unlike any stock cube: Naturalbrodo Sublime, which soon became Dialbrodo. Low in fat, it was the perfect ingredient for those needing to follow specific dietary regimes but still wanting to enjoy good food.
Recommended by family doctors, Dialbrodo was primarily sold in pharmacies.
The people who worked at Dialcos in its early days recall group boat trips, tours of Venetian villas, and the warmth of a family-like atmosphere.
Mondays were famous as the “crying days” – not so much because it was the start of the workweek, but because there were plenty of onions to peel by hand.
Fathers and sons, husbands and wives worked together at the same company, fostering the spirit of one big family.
Dialcos’ early marketing efforts were grassroots, taking place at fairs and sporting events. After foot races, employees were always there, offering cups of warm broth.
The Years of Growth
From pharmacy counters to supermarket shelves.
Dialcos changed locations three times; the pace of work evolved, but the core ingredients remained the same: passion, attention to detail, and foresight.
The company’s ability to anticipate market needs paved the way for new markets and innovative products.
Building on this foundation, in 2006 Dialcos began producing gluten-free pasta. Dialsì pasta is made with wholesome ingredients: 100% Italian flours, bronze-cut, gently dried, and free from additives. It’s the perfect alternative for those seeking something beyond traditional pasta. Once again, a healthy product designed for specific dietary needs.
Dialcos Today
Today, the company continues to produce Dialbrodo, the only product on the market made with fresh onions and celery, processed daily just as it was 65 years ago. Dialbrodo granular can replace salt and enhance the flavors of any dish in your kitchen.
Dialcos is committed to using short supply chains to reduce environmental impact and maintaining its focus on quality products. Its story is one of warmth, connection, and a deep commitment to customers’ nutritional health and the well-being of the local community.
